The party was amazing, cute guys, great performances, delicious drinks... I have to admint - it was pretty hard to choose the best looking boys:) You know, after few drinks I could not trust myself if the guys were really cute, or if it was me getting drunk:) Well, see it for yourself!

First Gay Kiss in Bollywood

“Dunno Y” the Indian answer to Hollywood’s “Brokeback Mountain,” as it features the first gay kiss in Indian cinema between the movie’s two stars, Akshay Kumar and Kapil Sharma. Sharma actually wrote the film as well and his brother, Sanjay Sharma, directed it.

The film first premiered in April 2010 at India’s first mainstream gay festival, called the Kashish Mumbai International Queer Film Festival. Since then, it’s been screened at film festivals in Europe and North America. As you can expect, it has received some criticism from religious groups that say its subject matter is “against the order of nature”.

Divas Salute the Troops

December 5, 2010 is starting to look a whole lot like the fourth of July based on VH1′s recently released promo pics. In honor of the troops, VH1 is dedicating this year’s Divas Live festivities to them. This year’s crop worked out their best WWII pin-up poses for the retro-inspired pics. The upcoming concert, titled “VH1 Divas Salute The Troops“, will feature the female-centric acts performing at a Marine Corps Air Station in San Diego and at an undisclosed military base in the Middle East.

Joining the previously announced performers are the Vermont-based blues/soul band, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals. They will join Nicki Minaj, Keri Hilson, Katy Perry, Sugarland in San Diego, while Paramore rocks it out on the other side of the world. Hosting this year’s festivities is none other than “firecrotch” herself, Kathy Griffin. I have no doubt she’ll have the audience cracking up. I wonder which celebs will be her targets that night. We’ll have to tune in and find out on Sunday, December 5, at 9 p.m. when it airs on VH1.

The art of Pierre et Gilles

Pierre Commoy and Gilles Blanchard, are French artists and romantic partners. They produce highly stylized photographs, building their own sets and costumes as well as retouching the photographs. Their work often features images from popular culture, gay culture including porn (especially James Bidgood), and religion. 

Here are some of them...that I love it... Madonna, Nina Hagen, Marilyn Manson, Mirelle Matie, actors, models, Drags...are just some of the pieces of art.

The benefits of coming out!

I posted before the old news about Ricky Martin´s coming out. But before him, some other celebrities got some benefits for being gays out of closet. When Ellen DeGeneres, came out in 1997 her character Ellen in the show came out as well. This gave to the show higher ratings. She was in the eye of the hurricane as she was dating actress Anne Heche. Ellen’s partner, Hache, was all of the sudden starting films and became more popular due to her relationship. The interesting factor here is that once Heche split with Ellen and decided to marry a man, her carrier disappeared. In contrast, Ellen’s career continued growing putting her show as one of the most important shows on US TV and her, as one of the most influential women in the entertainment industry next to Oprah.

Rosie O’Donnell, came out in 2002. Like it or not, she became the main attraction for The View. Her radio show continued airing successfully and now Rosie’s show is schedule to come back to TV after Oprah’s show ends. This will give Rosie a captive audience and space on TV.

Other celebrities had come out and their careers continue to be successful. George Michael’s latest CD debuted #1 in the UK. Jodie Foster came out in 2007 and won a Golden Globe Award. Neil Patrick Harris came out in 2006, benefiting his show How I Met Your Mother with an increase in audience. American Idols, Adam Lambert and Clay Aiken continue scoring successes to their music careers. Some others didn’t even need to come out, as it was clear they were gay and their career continues to be successful such as Elton John and Sean Hayes. Not to mentioned all those that have admitted to be bisexual and benefited from this type of scandal: Angelina Jolie, Drew Barrymore, Megan Fox, Gerald Butler and Fergie, all of them A list celebrities.

My question is: Does those benefits comes also for ordinary people?

LUI Magazine invites you all the celebrate the first Birthday Party with a lot of great attractions and the biggest attraction is a unique club space church in the Old Town. I confess I never been in a church for a party and I am really excited about that.

Isabelita Skate

Isabelita Skate is an Argentine-Brazilian drag queen. born in Argentina under the name Omar Jorge Iglesias, Moved to Brazil for over 30 years. Her surname "Skate" That comes from the fact instead of wearing high heels, she put on her well decorated in-line skates.
In 1993, while skating on Atlantic Avenue she accidentally have met the candidate for president, Fernando Henrique Cardoso, who landed her side in front all photographers - You can imagine what happened. The next day her face was on the first page of all newspapers and magazines and Isabelita became the favorite cartoon of the newspapers. Ten months later, Mr. Cardoso was elected president and Isabelita Skate became known nationally through participation in television programs and commercials for famous brands. Is not she TOO MUCH? Of course-you know my answer: NOT! :)))
